Description | OTTAWA -- NDP Leader Jack Layton launched an attack on what he called "corporate cronyism" in Paul Martin's administration, saying the Prime Minister's Office employs too many former business lobbyists and has close ties to Martin advisers lobbying for private interests.
"This is getting insidious and it's time to clean house before Paul Martin and his corporate cronies clean up," Mr. Layton said as he tabled a package of ethics reforms that would place more stringent controls on lobbyists with political connections.
"The only thing transparent in Paul Martin's government is the glass in the revolving door." |
