Description | "Bill Anderson chased down Newark Mayor Cory Booker across the bridge to Philadelphia where Booker was making his comedic debut. It was a fundraiser for the Variety Club.
Mayor Booker was received like a celebrity at the event and made light of a few controversial issues he’s faced while mayor and on the campaign trail.
He joked about his relationship with celebrities like Oprah, his superhero persona, the videos he did with Governor Christie and even some of the accusations that opponents have thrown at him.
People really responded when he took on some of the critics even joking about similarities between him and President Obama, noting that Obama went to Harvard while he went to Yale.
"I'm kind of tired of people comparing me to President Obama," he said. "I coordinated neighborhoods; he organized them."
Anderson said that the crowd really gravitated towards Booker and most thought he was pretty funny." |
