Description | The treasurer of Gov. Tim Pawlenty's 2002 campaign is under investigation for alleged improper business practices. He is the latest of several members of the governor's inner campaign circle to face scrutiny for private business dealings.
Ron Esau, a frequent contributor to Republican causes and candidates and a onetime pilot for Pawlenty's gubernatorial campaign, is accused in civil complaints of being part of a financial scheme by companies that target vulnerable and unsophisticated homeowners facing foreclosure on their homes.
