Barbara Mallory Caraway to announce campaign for Congress against Eddie Bernice Johnson

| Description | Former state Rep. Barbara Mallory Caraway on Saturday will announce a bid to unseat Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson.
Johnson is the longtime incumbent in Dallas County’s Congressional District 30.
In 2012 Johnson easily beat Caraway and DeSoto lawyer Taj Clayton for the Democratic nomination.
Caraway, D-Dallas, said that election night she would run again. She will make an official announcement Saturday morning during a prayer breakfast at the Old Mill Inn in Fair Park.
“I’m just as focused, but I’m a little more seasoned,” Caraway said of her second campaign against Johnson. |
