Description | Former Sen. Rick Santorum is joining a movie studio that supports and makes films for a Christian audience.
Santorum, a 2012 presidential candidate, will join EchoLight Studios as its CEO. He said in a statement that EchoLight can be a leader in the “faith-and-family movie market.”
“I often say that culture is upstream from politics, and I know entertainment also can be strength and light for people who want to be uplifted and reinforced in their values,” Santorum said. “Dallas can become the Hollywood of the faith-and-family movie market.”
The Dallas-based company’s first movie, “The Redemption of Henry Myers,” is slated for release this fall, and another movie is in post-production.
Santorum, who’s acknowledged he’s open to running for president again in 2016, will continue to head his political action committee, Patriot Voices. |
