Description | Rep. Dave Camp, a Michigan Republican who is chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, said Thursday he is not gunning for the seat of retiring Democratic Sen. Carl Levin in 2014. saying he is more focused on passing comprehensive tax reform during this session of Congress.
āIām pretty busy,ā he told reporters at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor.
He said fellow Michigan Republicans such as Rep. Mike Rogers and former state Secretary of State Terry Lynn Land are more serious contenders. |
