Description | Omaha police are investigating graffiti that used a racist slur in reference to Democratic congressional candidate John Ewing.
The message, written on a garage door in northwest Omaha, said: “Don't put the nigger sign back up,'' referring to a yard sign in support of Ewing.
Ewing, the Douglas County treasurer and a former deputy Omaha police chief, said he sees the vandalism as an isolated incident.
“It is my goal to unify people despite all of the things that can divide us,” Ewing, who is black, said in an email. |
