DescriptionConcord, Massachusetts (MMD Newswire) July 10, 2012 — On the hill above the famous Old North Bridge in Concord, Mass. where in 1775 was fired “…the shot heard ’round the world” that sealed our irrevocable march to independence, Bill Cimbrelo declared his commitment to continue his fight as a write-in Independent candidate for the most hotly contested US Senate seat in the nation.

Speaking at the July 4th District Town Meeting held in Concord’s Minuteman National Park, the event which organizer Stuart-Sinclair Weeks designed as a first step in‘…reawakening the American dream,’. Cimbrelo acknowledged the frustrations of running a campaign in today’s political arena when serious attention is given only to those in either Democratic or Republican parties and in the current media climate, given more sound bites than substance. Cimbrelo spoke honestly about the mountainous task of getting the required 10,000 signatures – and the funds to fuel the effort – when mainstream media turns a blind eye to candidates outside the two-party “duopoly.” Even though current statistics show 52% of Massachusetts voters have no declared party affiliation, and independent numbers keep growing.
