| Description | The wife of State Treasurer Shane Osborn filed for a protection order Tuesday against her husband, claiming he physically abused her, installed cameras around the couple's home to spy on her and used government spies to discredit her.
Douglas County Judge Greg Schatz approved the 90-day order against Shane Osborn.
Teri Osborn told a judge of at least two incidents in which the alleged abuse occurred. She said one incident happened on Christmas day. The couple was at a cabin belonging to Osborn's mother near Norfolk when they got into an argument.
"He started to beat me -- punching me all over my body," Teri Osborn wrote. She said she then sent a text message to Osborn's sister, who showed up and told him to leave. |
