Description | MIRAMAR — Voters gave Mayor Lori Moseley another four years at the city's helm on Tuesday. She got almost 1 1/2 times the number of votes challenger John Moore pulled in.
"I am so humbled and so honored to continue to be the mayor of a culturally diverse, unified city," Moseley said. "I couldn't be prouder."
Moseley has served as mayor since 1999. She was a commissioner from 1995-1999. Moore, owner of a computer consulting firm, served on the commission from 2005 to 2007. During his campaign he said he would "right-size government."
"The voters spoke, and that's that," he said. "… I will still speak as the voice of the people who feel like our city isn't providing the level of service and attention that we deserve."
