Description | DENVER -- The chief investigator looking into the reported shooting death of a Colorado man by Mexican pirates has been decapitated, his head sent to the Mexican army on Tuesday.
ABC affiliate KRGV in Weslaco, Texas interviewed Texas Rep. Aaron Pena, who confirmed the report.
Zapata County Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez Jr. told KRGV that Rolando Armando Flores Villegas, a homicide investigator for the Procuraduria de Tamaulipas, was killed.
"His head was delivered to the army garrison this morning in a suitcase after he failed to report back home last night," Gonzalez said.
An earlier report from KRGV that the investigator's body was delivered in a suitcase was apparently in error. |
