DescriptionRepublican Weld District Attorney Ken Buck has extended his lead over one Democratic contender in the race for Colorado's U.S. Senate seat, while his lead over incumbent Michael Bennet has narrowed somewhat, according to a poll released Thursday.

The Rasmusson reports poll shows Buck leading Bennet, D-Colo., 44 percent to 40 percent. He leads Democratic challenger Andrew Romanoff 45 percent to 37 percent. In a Rasmussen poll in March, Buck led Bennet 44 percent to 38 percent and was virtually tied with Romanoff, 41 percent to 40 percent.

The picture is similar for another Republican challenger, former Lt. Gov. Jane Norton. Norton leads Bennet 46 percent to 41 percent and Romanoff 49 percent to 38 percent. A month ago, Norton led Bennet by nine percentage points. In February, Norton led Bennet by 14 percentage points. Last month, Norton led Romanoff 44 percent to 42 percent.
