| Description | Republican candidate and Arkansas TEA Party organizer Tom Cox tells Talk Business that he will leave the race for the U.S. Senate.
Cox said that the balance between work and running for office was too burdensome at this time.
“It’s going to take a lot of funds to win the nomination and I think it’s in my best interest to step back at this time,” said Cox. “We’re seeing an increase in business, and because of that I can’t give the appropriate amount of time to raising funds for my Senate campaign to win the nomination.”
Cox said that he had no other plans to run for office “in this election cycle.” He also said that he would not make an endorsement of any candidate today, but would do so after the May 18th primary in anticipation of a run-off election. |
