| Description | Today marks the end of a 30-day petition drive that will determine whether Tippecanoe School Corp. can proceed with $10 million worth of building projects.
Taxpayers living in the district have until this afternoon to turn in petitions either for or against the projects. Those include $4.9 million in renovations and additions for Battle Ground Elementary, $1.1 million for a media center addition at Hershey Elementary, and $2 million each for athletic facilities at Harrison and McCutcheon high schools.
All petitions are due to the county auditor's office by 4:30 p.m. But results of the remonstrance -- a legal maneuver that gives property owners a chance to slow down or stop school construction projects -- are not expected for several weeks |
