Description | "A three-judge state Appellate Court panel today ordered the Legislative Apportionment Commission to redrew the legislative district map so that Newark and Jersey City would each contain no more then two legislative districts and no other city would be split if possible. While this ruling technically only affects districts 27, 28 and 29 in Essex and districts 31, 32 and 33 in Hudson, there would be a domino effect on many other legislative districts for the 2003 general election."
