Description | For the first time since the Lehigh Acres Community Planning Corp. (LACPC) was formed more than three years ago, there was a tie vote for a new member to join the panel. It occurred at the LACPC’s meeting last week when James Crews and Stacie Sherman applied to fill the vacancy of Keith Richter, who resigned prior to the November meeting to pursue his campaign to win a seat in the State House in Tallahassee.
Both Crews and Sherman, offered reasons to board members as to why they would like to become a part of the panel. Crews, 19, said because of his young age, he believed there should be representation on the planning board from the younger generation. He has attended Edison College and is interested in civic affairs.
“The future of Lehigh affects me in the years to come. I would like to be a part of the planning,” he said. |
