| Description | Cecilia Fire Thunder lost her bid to regain the presidency of the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, according to unofficial results.
The unofficial results put Yellow Bird Steele over the top. He had 2,341 votes to Fire Thunder's 1,398 votes.
White Plume has been challenging his removal from the ballot. His supporters tried to block the removal of ballot boxes, the Shannon County sheriff's department said. |
