Description | Cook County Commissioner Tony Peraica (pehr-EYE'-kah) is running for state's attorney.
Peraica tells Chicago's WLS Radio that he wants the job that will be vacated by Democrat Dick Devine. He announced last Friday that he won't run for re-election in 2008.
Peraica today criticized Devine for not doing enough to investigate Chicago police brutality. He also pledged to use the subpoena powers of the state's attorney's office to investigate Cook County corruption. |
