Description | Tommy Thompson took his presidential campaign to New Hampshire last week and attracted a crowd of seven.
That's right, Thompson's big campaign stop, in an airy nursing home auditorium, drew seven Republicans. And they weren't even supporters. They were, for the most part, backers of other candidates for the Republican presidential nomination who came out of politeness. They didn't want the former Wisconsin governor and Bush Cabinet secretary to be embarrassed by having to stand alone with a reporter in an empty auditorium. |
