Description | BATON ROUGE -- A Louisiana State University student was held Friday on $1 million bond, accused of telling another student he would kill U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton during an appearance in Baton Rouge.
State District Judge Mike Erwin set bond Thursday after Richard Ryan Wargo of Shreveport was booked with terrorizing, communicating false information of planned arson and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
A call to Wargo's family's home in Shreveport was not immediately returned.
Clinton, D-N.Y., a presidential candidate, is scheduled to be in Baton Rouge Saturday to speak at the National Conference of Black Mayors.
The arrest warrant for Wargo, issued Thursday by LSU Police, said he told another student he wanted to commit an act of terror that would be a "national event," and asked if the student wanted to participate. It was unclear when the alleged attack was to take place. |
