Description | By DAVE LEVINTHAL / The Dallas Morning News
With Dallas' mayoral election but a month away, former construction executive Tom Leppert will report raising more than $553,000 in campaign contributions, according to a draft of his mandatory finance report due Thursday at City Hall, which covers election activity between January 1 and March 31.
But that's just slightly more than the $511,870 in contributions District 3 City Council member Ed Oakley says he'll report.
The contribution figures reported by Mr. Leppert and Mr. Oakley dwarf those lawyer Darrell Jordan ($230,943), banker Max Wells ($161,034) and former airline executive Sam Coats ($110,910) have reported Thursday or say they intend to report. |
