DescriptionThree-way battle for governor could end in runoff
Around Northern Kentucky
BY PATRICK CROWLEY

In the nearly quarter century I've been following Kentucky politics, few people have been better with the quote, quip and jab than Lexington Republican Larry Forgy.

One of my favorite quotes from Forgy, who ran for governor in 1995, came when he compared a congressional race to a gubernatorial campaign.

Federal races are "like artillery battles from five miles."
