Description | She was largely out of public sight, but Democratic Senate challenger Claire McCaskill still was active in campaign events Monday.
McCaskill was a guest on a radio show to court black voters, then met with the staff at The Call, a black-oriented newspaper in Kansas City.
McCaskill spokeswoman Adrianne Marsh said the Democrat held two St. Louis fundraisers - one featuring St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley and Mayor Francis Slay, the other featuring Democratic Sen. Tom Carper of Delaware.
The events were expected to raise around $100,000, Marsh said. |
