Description | Larry Seaquist, former commanding officer of the battleship USS Iowa, is running as a Democrat in the hope of succeeding state Rep. Derek Kilmer, D-Gig Harbor.
Seaquist, 67, moved to Gig Harbor after a 32-year career in the Navy. He is now an author and college lecturer. He also served as technical adviser to the TNT miniseries, “The Grid,” which dealt with terrorism and counterterrorism.
The 26th Legislative District encompasses parts of Pierce and Kitsap counties, including Gig Harbor, Fox Island, the Key and Longbranch peninsulas, and parts of Port Orchard and Bremerton. |
