DescriptionEaston Express-Times article.

An excerpt...
"U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent will run unopposed for re-election in the 15th Congressional District in 2006, a spokeswoman for the Pennsylvania Department of State said Wednesday.

Dent, R-Lehigh Valley, anticipated a race against either Bob Dodge of Gilbertsville, Montgomery County, or Iraq war veteran Justin Valera Behrens of Bangor.

Both Democrats had declared their intention to run. But neither Dodge nor Behrens filed petitions by the required deadline Tuesday, said Alice Hrestak, a spokeswoman for the Pennsylvania state agency.

Dodge and Behrens, if they want to continue running for Congress, may do so as write-in candidates, but they may not seek the Democratic nomination, Hrestak said.

No Republicans filed petitions needed to run against Dent in the GOP primary, either, Hrestak stated."
