| Description | The House gave final approval and sent to Gov. Kathleen Blanco on Wednesday a bill that would let some New Orleans voters who registered by mail cast early ballots in the city's April 22 election.
At the urging of Rep. Rick Gallot, D-Ruston, the House voted 66-32 for a Senate-amended House Bill 12 by Rep. Jalila Jefferson-Bullock, D-New Orleans, sending it to Blanco, who is expected to sign it into law.
