Description | The top ten slots in Kadima's Knesset candidate list is believed to follow Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's guidelines and includes two former Labor MKs: Shimon Peres, who will become the faction's No. 2 and Haim Ramon who will probably receive the relatively high sixth slot, ahead of Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz.
Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert spent most of Wednesday compiling the Kadima Knesset candidate list. He consulted with ministers Tzipi Livni, Shaul Mofaz, Roni Bar-On, Yaakov Edri and veteran politician Shimon Peres.
It is clear that Olmert does not intend to relinquish the authority he inherited from Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, and is determined to have the last say on the list makeup. |
