Description | Columbus- Trash-talk show television host Jerry Springer announced Tuesday that he will not run as a Democratic candidate for governor, eliminating potential headaches for the party and its new chairman, Chris Redfern.
In a written statement, Springer said he waited in the wings for six months to see if the party would unite behind a single candidate. Once Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman withdrew, U.S. Rep. Ted Strickland emerged as that candidate, Springer said. |
