Description | But acting Gov. Richard J. Codey last week gave another reason he did not want Gov.-elect Jon S. Corzine's U.S. Senate seat.
Codey said he didn't relish the thought of running for a full term next year against presumptive GOP nominee Tom Kean Jr., "who I like and respect." Kean is a son of the popular former governor.
"When I was a teenager, one of my part-time jobs was chauffeuring the Kean family," Codey said during a news conference at a Union County food bank. |
