| Description | State Sen. Jason Atkinson, R-Central Point, said Thursday he plans to seek the Republican nomination for governor.
The Southern Oregon legislator, who served two terms in the House and is in his second Senate term, filed papers for his campaign committee with the secretary of state and said he will announce his candidacy this fall.
