Description | The Louisiana Democratic Party has sent questionnaires to hundreds of state and local elected officials to help formulate its "Louisiana Agenda."
The state Republican Party doesn't need a questionnaire to set its agenda, but merely a copy of the national party's platform.
Yet both party organizations continue to struggle to determine their most effective roles in a state that affords them less legal status than their counterparts in other states. They are also grappling with each other for the political advantage in a red state that is still blue beneath the federal level. |
