| Description | Businessman and North Carolina native Heath Shuler announced today that he will run for the United States House of Representatives 11th Congressional district, a post currently held by long-time Republican Congressman Charles Taylor.
Shuler filed paperwork this morning with the Federal Election Commission, according to a news release.
