Description | At the Statehouse in Trenton, lawmakers are close to making the blueberry New Jersey's state fruit, much to the consternation of tomato growers like Ken Muckenfuss.
But fans of both - and of summertime favorites like sweet corn - should be concerned about something else: They'll be hard-pressed to find any grown in New Jersey fields by July 4, a traditional day for feasting on fresh stuff.
