Mayor: 'I'm Not Going To Seek Re-Election'
"I'm not going to seek re-election as mayor of the city of San Diego in 2004. While I'm confident a re-election would have been successful, I believe it's in the best interest of me, my family and the city not to seek re-election," Murphy said.
His announcement surprised many since just two weeks ago Murphy announced that he would seek re-election. |
