| Description | 24 January 2005 -- Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko today designated political ally Yuliya Tymoshenko to be the country's next prime minister.
Tymoshenko will serve as acting prime minister until Ukraine's parliament convenes to vote on her nomination. The position had been vacant since Viktor Yanukovych resigned from office in December. |
