DescriptionLynn Swann? My Philadelphia friends just don’t get it. Maybe because I grew up in Western Pennsylvania during those Glorious Black and Gold 1970’s. Those of us fortunate to have been of age during that time know what special men made up those Super Bowl Steeler teams. Great players who were also good people, many of whom stayed in the area to make a life long after football.

So Number 88 wants to run for Governor? Is it so unusual for a television football commentator to aspire to be the CEO of the Commonwealth? In this battle, Swann is the network guy, while Rendell has not risen above regional cable. Ed Rendell is the king of substantive issue based politics. So does it matter that the only position Lynn Swann has ever taken is wide receiver and in that context, only John Stallworth was on the other side.
