Description | New Orleans Times-Picayune article.
An excerpt..."A special primary will be held in New Orleans on Jan. 29 to fill the seat of state Rep. Edwin Murray, who was recently elected to the state Senate.
Qualifying for Murray's 96th District seat will run from Dec. 20-22, and a runoff, if needed, will be held Feb. 26, House Speaker Joe Salter, D-Florien, said Thursday.
Murray was elected Dec. 4 to replace Paulette Irons, who was elected to a judgeship. Murray said he will submit his letter of resignation to House officials in the next two weeks." |
