Description | "Burlington, NJ- State Senator Diane Allen today officially removed herself from the potential field of 2005 GOP candidates for Governor.
“While I would consider it an honor to serve New Jersey’s residents in our State’s highest office, this is simply not my race this time,” Allen said.
“The passing of my mother and the months leading up to her death have been painful and exhausting for me and my family. I felt that my job over these past five months was not to attend political meetings, events or fundraisers but to provide the love and care for my mother that she gave to me unconditionally throughout her life,” said Allen."
