Description | As Nov. 2 approaches, the political future of the Indiana House hangs in the balance.
With Democrats holding a slim 51-49 edge in the 100-seat body, every seat counts. A net loss of two seats would cost Democrats control of the chamber and its powerful committees, a fact not lost on Republicans, who control the Indiana Senate.
Democrat Joe Micon has collected $164,648 since Jan. 1. That's more than triple the $52,952 he raised two years ago when he tried to unseat Scholer. Likewise, Republican Connie Basham's $169,710 in campaign receipts is nearly three times the $55,420 |
