DescriptionThings have gotten so bad in the governor's race that pollsters are now asking if people would vote for candidates who lost the election six months ago.

And the answer is yes.

A Field Poll released today found that voters are so discouraged by the two top candidates that former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan -- who lost the Republican primary in the spring -- could beat the unpopular Gov. Gray Davis by 15 percentage points.
