How do I navigate the site?

A series of links at the top of each page is used to navigate the site. Some links are located in the blue background above the red, white, and blue stripes (referring to the United States flag), while other links are located on the stripes.
Links above the Stripes
- The site logo (upper left): in Mozilla, the site logo is a link back to the main page. In Internet Explorer, the site logo does not provide a navigation function.
- The date (upper right): after setting the time here to a point in the past, navigating to a geographic container will show the officeholders of that date.
Links on the Stripes
- Home: Clicking "Home" will lead you back to the main page (the page showing recent changes)
- About: This link leads to the page with the FAQs and site information.
- Chat: This page is reserved for future use.
- Users: This page lists the names of active users at OC.
- Issues: A page with links to various issues.
- Parties: A page used to search for political parties of a given nation.
- Candidates: A page used to search for a given candidate using one or more of six search criteria.
- Poll Firms: A page used to search for companies that conduct polls.
- Media: A search page for newspapers and print media.
- News: A page listing the most recent 25 news articles posted at the site.
- Polls: A page showing the most recent 25 polls posted on the site.
- User Name: Clicking here will take you to your user page.
- Forget Me / Remember Me: This link tells your computer whether or not to save your information from this login session.
- Calendar: Clicking here will show the elections taking place in the month set in the date in the upper right.
- Key Races: A page showing recent and upcoming races of importance.
- United States: A page leading to an overview of the USA government.
- President: A page showing the results of the most recent election prior to the date in the upper right and the election following that date.
- Senate: A page showing the people serving in the U.S. Senate on the date set in the upper right with some associated statistics.
- House: A page showing the members of the U.S. House on the date set in the upper right.
- Governors: A page showing the governors of each state on the date set in the upper right. The more common statewide offices may be substituted in a drop-down menu.
- International: A page used to navigate to a foreign nation and its government / elections.
