Description | The governing body of Perry County is the Perry County Commission, consisting of five members who are elected by districts. Commissioners are elected to four- year terms and represent approximately 9,000 citizens. The Chair and Vice Chair are elected by majority vote of the County Commission.
The Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The meetings begin at 5:00 p.m. Meetings are held in the Albert Turner, Sr. Courthouse Annex, located at 200 Pickens Street, next to the Perry County Jail.
