Description | The City of Taylors Falls has a mayor-council form of government. The City Council consists of a Mayor and four Council Members, who are elected at large. The Mayor serves a two-year term and the Council Members serve four-year, staggered terms. The Mayor presides at meetings and has equal voting rights with the other members. Local elections are held in November of even-numbered years.
City Hall is located at 637 First Street (also known as County Road 37). First Street is the street between the Riverview Convenience Store and the Chisago House. Come up the hill 3/4 of the way and we are located on the left side of the street. The complex includes City Hall, the Fire Station, and several Public Works Buildings.
The regular meetings of the City Council are held at 7:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month in the Council Chambers at Taylors Falls City Hall, 637 First Street. These meetings are open to the public. |
