Description |
Russia is divided into seven large federal districts, each containing many federal subjects (oblasts, krays, republics, etc.). Each federal district has a presidential envoy, also known as a plenipotentiary representative. The job of each plenipotentiary is to oversee the function of federal agencies in their district. They report directly to the President.
