THE US Attorney's Office
Considered the most prestigious US Attorneys' post in the nation, largely because of its
jurisdiction over New York's major financial centers.
The Southern District comprises the counties of Bronx, Dutchess, New York (Manhattan),
Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, and Westchester and concurrently with the Eastern
District, the waters within the Eastern District.
Courthouses are located in Manhattan and White Plains.
