Cuba adopted a constitution on February 24, 2019 supported by referendum. This constitution restored the positions of President and Prime Minister.
Cuba's President appointed his Prime Minister on December 21, 2019. The President's choice was unanimously approved by the National Assembly.
Prime Minister's only power is to preside over the Council of Ministers. Prime Minister serves for a five year term
