The Township of Eagles Nest was created on June 5, 1990 by resolution of the St. Louis County Board of Commissioners under Minnesota Statute 379.02.
Land in the Township was purchased in 1991 adjacent to the old fire house. The present Town Hall and Fire Department building was constructed in 1992-1993 and dedicated on June 19, 1993.
The elected officials of the Township are the five (5) Supervisors who make up the Board of Supervisors, the Clerk, and the Treasurer. They meet the second Tuesday of each month to conduct Township business. All meetings are at 7:00 pm and open to the public.
