With a wide range of housing options and easy access to both Minneapolis and St. Paul, people find our small-town feel to be just what they are looking for.
Enroll the kids in the highly-rated Centennial School District. Live in our quiet neighborhoods. Play at our ball fields, hike the trails and feel like you are in the woods up north, play tennis or enjoy a swim at Golden Lake Park.
The city operates under the Optional A system form of government, which consists of a City Council of four elected council members and an elected Mayor. Council members are elected every four years with over lapping terms and the Mayor is elected to a two year term. The City Council is also responsible for determining city policy and initiating city legislation.
The Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at city hall.
