| Description |
One of the 7 provinces formed in Nepal after the division of the state by the new constitution promulgated on September 20, 2015. Initially named Province No. 7, the province was renamed "Sudurpashchim" and its capital was moved to Godawari in Kailali district by vote of the Provincial Assembly on September 28, 2018 (until then, the capital was located in Dhangadhi) [Link]
