Description |
The Prime Minister is appointed by the President as Head of Government and presides over a Council of Ministers (also known as the Federal Executive) formed by the President on the recommendation of the Prime Minister. The Council consists of no more than 25 members and must be drawn from members of parliament.
The Supreme Court issued an interim order on June 22, 2021 [Link] relieving 20 ministers appointed on June 4th and 10th, 2021 by Prime Minister Oli. The portfolios were split between five remaining cabinet members, including the Prime Minister, on June 24, 2021.
